Launch of FAO Reference Centres for AMR and Aquaculture Biosecurity
Rome time
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is a growing threat to human and animal health. To support implementation of the FAO Action Plan on AMR 2021-2025, as well as its global efforts to address AMR, FAO counts on the Reference Centres (RCs) to support the Organization’s work to combat AMR across sectors in food and agriculture. The launch event will serve as a forum to announce the official designation of four FAO RCs, with FAO’s and the RCs’ vision and mission shown, networking strengthened, knowledge shared and understanding enhanced for AMR and Aquaculture Biosecurity.
