This side event will use case studies across different regions to highlight the contribution of women’s initiatives and enterprises in sustainable livestock transformation and its development outcomes. 

Focussing on the thematic area “Sustainable livestock systems for food security, nutrition and inclusive economic growth”, the event will highlight the crucial role that women play within pastoralist and other livestock-keeping communities, more so now than in the past, within an even-faster rate of change in the environment, economies, and society.
