With more than 1.3 billion people relying on livestock for their livelihoods and food security there is an urgent need to prioritize actions and policies targeting agriculture induced AMR.  As highlighted by the AMR Multi-Stakeholder Partnership Platform, improved animal health and welfare plays an important role in reducing the need for antibiotics and promoting responsible use.
