On Friday 16 June, 2 pm (CET), a new technical paper about “From reference levels to results reporting: REDD+ under the UNFCCC” will be launched at FAO in Rome, Italy.

This publication provides an update on the considerable progress countries have made on the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of REDD+ activities, greatly enhancing transparency of results reporting.

The in-depth analysis of the REDD+ results submissions illustrates the commitment countries are making to improve their forest sector’s greenhouse gas emission estimates.

During the event, the key messages of the paper will be presented by Julian Fox, National Forest Monitoring Team Leader at FAO. His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Tiina Vahanen, REDD+ Coordinator at FAO.
