This event seeks to make an update on the progress made regarding FAO’s role supporting the implementation of the peace agreement in Colombia. The visit of His Excellency Mr. Rafael Pardo, Minister of the Post‐Conflict (Alto Consejero para el Postconflicto, Derechos Humanos y Seguridad) will provide an update on the situation of the country and on the status of the implementation of the peace agreement within the country. The event will address the main points of FAO’s strategic framework to accompany the government of Colombia in the implementation of the peace agreement. The event will also highlight the work of FAO in supporting sustainable peace in Colombia in the context of the recently approved corporate Framework to Support Sustainable Peace in the Context of Agenda 2030.
