Regional Fish Spawning Aggregation Fishery Management Plan: Focus on Nassau grouper and Mutton snapper

The “Regional Fish Spawning Aggregation Fishery Management Plan: Focus on Nassau grouper and Mutton snapper” (FSAMP) was developed by the Fish Spawning Aggregation WECAFC working group. It is the outcome of a decade of dedicated work to significantly improve fishery management to stop and reverse the declines associated with uncontrolled exploitation of vulnerable fish spawning aggregations. Spawning aggregations, the only known means of reproduction of Nassau grouper (NG, Epinephelus striatus) and Mutton snapper (MS, Lutjanus analis), are essential for the long-term replenishment and productivity of their natural populations.
