This Act provides for the establishment of energy sector entities and regulates the production, supply and use of energy.  It establishes the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority ("EPRA") as the successor to the Energy Regulatory Commission (“ERC”). It stated the government obligations to facilitate the provision of affordable energy services to all persons in Kenya.
