The project aims to increase adoption of sustainable landscape management practices and improve watershed services in targeted watersheds. One of its components - scaling up landscape restoration - supports restoration of 95,000 ha of degraded landscapes, including through plantation of fast-growing species suitable for poles and biomass fuels as well as bamboos suitable for planting in more marginal areas where slope protection and soil restoration will be important objectives for plantation establishment.
