Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy (RISE, of World Bank…)
RISE is a set of indicators to help compare national policy and regulatory frameworks for sustainable energy. It assesses countries’ policy and regulatory support for each of the three pillars of sustainable energy—access to modern energy, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.
With over 30 indicators covering 133 countries and representing over 97 percent of the world population, RISE provides a reference point to help policymakers benchmark their sector policy and regulatory framework against those of regional and global peers, and a powerful tool to help develop policies and regulations that advance sustainable energy goals.
With links to over 3,000 documents, the RISE library is a large free online collection of energy sector laws and regulations. It provides online access to all source data and documents – laws, regulations, utility reports, tariff schedules… with links to official government sources.
