Energising Development (EnDev) is an energy access partnership financed by multiple donor countries. It promotes sustainable access to modern energy services for households, social institutions and small to medium-sized enterprises in developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

EnDev works in 25 developing countries, while 63% of the funds are targeted at least developed countries. A broad spectrum of technologies and a variety of project concepts and instruments are applied, corresponding to individual country situations. The monitoring results indicate that a total of 21.3 million people, 21,150 social institutions, and 46,200 small and medium enterprises have gained sustainable access to modern energy services measures by March 2019.

GIZ is the lead agency for implementing the programme, in close cooperation with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) for programme coordination on global programme level.
