Global household energy model: a multivariate hierarchical approach to estimating trends in the use of polluting and clean fuels for cooking

2020
Region
Global

This is a paper about developing and implementing a model for the use of eight specific types of fuel for cooking. It aims to

-          estimate trends in specific fuel usage, together with coherent estimates of uncertainty.

-          provide meaningful estimates of individual fuel usage for countries where data are limited and

-          predict present day fuel usage, addressing lags in data collection, and to project estimated trends into the future.
