The project aims to increase access to electricity in five of the poorest provinces of Mozambique, including Niassa, Nampula, Zambezia, Cabo Delgado and Sofala, with a potential to benefit about 1.5 million people at the total project costs estimated at USD205 million. A sub-component of the project (B.2: Off-grid results-based financing facility) supports clean and efficient cooking solutions.
