Contents relevant to wood energy - Government will promote the development and dissemination of improved cooking technology as part of the wider strategy to reduce wood fuel consumption. - Requirement for tobacco growers and rural commercial institutions who make heavy use of wood fuel to establish and maintain woodlots. - Government will promote the use of suitable alternatives to wood fuel – such as LPG, paraffin, electricity, biogas, and wood briquettes.
