This is a sector-wide national instrument for managing and utilizing the forestry resources in Uganda. Firewood and charcoal (household, commercial and industrial) is one of the 13 forest products and services to be promoted as investment priorities under this plan. The first plan was developed in 2002 in order to put into effect the Uganda Forestry Policy (2001).
