The strategy aims to ensure a sustainable supply of biomass energy (e.g. firewood and charcoal) and promote access to modern cooking fuels and efficient biomass combustion technologies by households and small enterprises. The strategy development process was led by the Department of Energy in cooperation with the Department of Forestry and all relevant stakeholders.
