The Forest Stewardship Council (SFC) supports certification of sustainable charcoal products as part of its core business on chain of custody certification, through which FSC provides confirmation for products with environmentally and socially responsible sources to access the market. As of mid-October 2020, FSC database includes 3892 valid certificates for wood charcoal issued to a wide variety of countries worldwide.
