The project aims to reduce deforestation through increased adoption and use of alternative technologies and fuels (ATFs) and decreased consumer demand for charcoal. It targets at reducing charcoal consumption by 25% across Zambia through expanding the use of such technologies to 83,700 Zambian households, and therefore reducing deforestation directly attributable to charcoal production by 6.69%.
