This project aims to increase the production of thermal and electrical energy derived from biomass at the local, provincial and national levels to ensure a growing supply of clean, reliable and competitive energy, and at the same time, open up new agroforestry opportunities, stimulate regional development and contribute to mitigating change climate.

The project activities include: 1) Institutional strengthening - reinforce the institutional framework and create infrastructure to promote the sustainable use of energy obtained from biomass; 2) Incubator for energy projects - promote the establishment of bioenergy ventures; and 3) Dissemination and awareness building - inform and train political actors, businessmen, researchers and the general public about the opportunities and advantages offered by bioenergy.
