The Programme aims to promote sustainable and inclusive plantation forestry that contributes to Tanzania’s economic growth and alleviates poverty. It focuses on two areas of implementation: (i) tree growers, which will encompass the value chain from the planning of the plantations to the point of sale of the forest products, and (ii) Small Medium Enterprises Value-adding Processors, which will cover the forest products produced by the growers through the value-addition processes and eventual sale to end users.
