The right to food is a fundamental human right that expresses people’s entitlement to sufficient, nutritious, diverse and culturally appropriate food. The combination of increasing global food insecurity, climate change, economic inequalities and conflicts, poses a major obstacle to ensuring this right for all.
In this context, Bahçeşehir University and FAO are organizing a poster design competition aimed at raising awareness among young people about the right to food and providing a platform for them to propose sustainable solutions as part of World Food Day.
Students from Bahçeşehir University can participate in the competition in groups of three. The results will be announced at a prize-giving ceremony on 18 October, where participants will have five minutes to present their poster designs before a jury, who will evaluate all the entries before making their decision.
