Starting again with its second stage, the #TogetherfortheSDG 2023 campaign in Trieste from November 15-18, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, together with partners FAO, UN SDG Action Campaign, European Commission, CIHEAM Iamb of Bari and Save the Children. This year the choice of stages fell on "Italian Port Cities: window on the Mediterranean," beginning with Naples (May 23-27), Trieste (Nov. 15-18) and Palermo, whose dates are being finalized.
An integral part of the #TogetherfortheSDG campaign are the traveling installations to inform and empower visitors about the 2030 Agenda and more specifically the Sustainable Development Goals. FAO's wall route on the SDGs and World Food Day, whose theme this year is "Water is Life, Water is Food. Leave No One Behind," invites visitors to reflect on the importance of water as a primary source of life and food. The installations help us reflect on the need to stop taking water for granted and start improving the way we use it in our daily lives. We can all do something to improve the way we use water every day.
The days program includes the opening of the installations in the Salone degli Incanti in Trieste, the conference titled "SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION AND AGENDA 2030" will be attended by Mayor Roberto Dipiazza and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Edmondo Cirielli. The closing event will be held on November 18 at the Luttazzi Porto Vecchio Hall at 11:30 a.m. entitled "THE ITALIAN PORT CITIES: WINDOW ON THE MEDITERRANEAN" in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, the Mayor of Trieste, Naples, Ancona and Palermo. While in the afternoon there will be the WILL MEETS x #TogetherfortheSDG event promoted by Will Media.
