Visit selected primary schools in Ibadan to engage and raise awareness among the children on the importance of the World Food Day celebration, especially on its theme: Water is Life, Water is Food - leave no one behind. Activities will include; (1) Watch the short videos provided in the communication toolkit by FAO, (2) Chat with the children about the videos and importance of water to nutrition, and good health both for humans, plants and animals. (3) Call-to-Action to motivate the children to take simple actions in their environment to use water responsibly. (4) Enlighten the children about the WFD poster contest so that they can participate (5) Visit their school nutri-garden to plant some vegetable seeds and water them. (6) Have interviews with the children and staff the schools.
This event is being hosted by Kids Nutri-garden™ Vacation School (KNGVS™) and Association of Nutrition Science Students (ANSS), Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, University of Ibadan Nigeria.
