World Food Day is FAO’s anniversary and the most important annual global communications operation at FAO as well as one of the most popular International Days in the UN calendar. The campaign calls for action from a multi-target audience – from governments to the private sector, civil society, and individuals, including youth.
In the Syrian Arab Republic, FAO will celebrate WFD with farmers, the country's #FoodHeroes, to speak about the right to food, and tell their stories, challanges and experiences to improve agricutural productivity. This will happen during an interactive exhibition where farmers will exhibit their prodcuts, express the key messages of right to food, and interact with people to spread awareness about their role as #FoodHeroes.
