World Food Day in Rimini

(Italy), 20/08/2024 - 25/08/2024

This summer, from August 20 to 25, the FAO and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will participate in the Meeting for Friendship among Peoples in Rimini with the pavilion "There is an Italy that cooperates." This space will highlight the challenges of food security and Italy's proposed solutions, promoting this year's World Food Day theme: "Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future. Leave No One Behind."

The FAO space will raise awareness among visitors about the Sustainable Development Goals and encourage action to improve global food security. For the younger audience, the FAO SDGs Kids Corner—featuring games like hopscotch, mini-golf, and Twister—will offer a unique opportunity to learn about the 2030 Agenda goals through play. Additionally, visitors will have the chance to discover our new Activity Books for youth: “Right to Food” and “Story of a T-Shirt.” The first introduces the concept of food rights and the importance of healthy diets, while the second takes readers on a journey into sustainable fashion. These Activity Books will inspire young people to consider how their actions can contribute to a better future.

If you're in Rimini, join us to explore and support the importance of a variety of nutritious, accessible, and sustainable foods, and discover how each of us can make a difference!
