World Soil Day celebration - Halt soil salinization, boost soil productivity

The Ukrainian Soil Partnership (UaSP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and supported by FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (FAO REU) will launch the national briefing dedicated the World Soil Day on December 2, 2021. The objective is to stress the importance of land and soil data in policy decision-making processes and present the National Information System for Monitoring Land Degradation (ISMLD) designed by the UaSP as a part of the governmental program on the digital transformation of agriculture and present. The ISMLD was designed under the support of the FAO's Global Soil Partnership.

Mr Taras Dzoba Deputy-Minister, FAO representatives, and Head of UaSP will open the celebrations. The invitation is extended to griculture business, financial sector, UN, international donors, and Ukrainian mass media.

The event will be in Ukrainian with direct translation into English (both in-person and of-line).
