The Solar Energy Handbook for Youth Leaders is designed to help create awareness, increase knowledge and develop the skills of children and young people with regard to solar energy. It aims to help group leaders or teachers to identify, plan, prepare for and realize solar learning opportunities. The handbook gives basic background information about solar energy and describes a lot of solar activities for groups. The best thing is, it comes from the practice, i.e. the experiments and workshops do function well. It has been developped by Solafrica with support of Greenpeace (and with involvement of Scout Leaders from twenty countries) in the Kandersteg International Scout Centre. It is promoted and endorsed by WOSM and YUNGA.
