According to Rabobank’s global aquaculture outlook for 2025, pangasius production is expected to grow by seven percent year-on-year. Viet Nam will remain the top producer, where the Directorate of Fisheries is targeting a production volume of 1.65 million tonnes, with export revenue projected at USD 2 billion. In spite of competition from China, India and Indonesia, Viet Nam is looking forward to strong growth, anticipating the upper hand following the imposition of US tariffs on China.
