A few words about our browser

Browsing in Caliper is powerd by ShowVoc. Through ShowVoc you can browse and search either across all Caliper repository, or inside a specific classification. You can also brwose and search correspondences separately. To learn more about ShowVoc, go to page Documentation

Tips for using ShowVoc

  • To change which languages to show in the hierarchy - click on the top right corner icon "Rendering".
  • To change the scope of your search - click on the bottom right corner icon "Settings" next to the search bar.
  • Search for items across all classifications - use tab "Search"
    • you can search for any word (in items' titles, definition,..), in any language, appearing anywhere in the dataset.
    • you cannot search for codes
  • Search for correspondences among all classifications - use tab "Alignment" 
  • Search for codes: go to your classification of interest and type in a code. For example, if you type "0015" in FCL, you will get "Wheat". However, when codes contain dots ("."), as in "1.01", code for "Wheat" in ICC 1.1, you should replace the dot with a hyphen ("-").
