The International Year of Millets (IYM 2023) has successfully raised awareness and policy attention to: the nutritional and health benefits of millets; the suitability of millets for cultivation under adverse climatic conditions; and the benefits of creating market opportunities for small scale producers through promotion of sustainable production systems for millets.
The IYM 2023 Closing ceremony will highlight the achievements and lessons learned, and the challenges and opportunities identified for future investments to strengthen millets value chains around the world.
