FAO SEAFARMING RESOURCES ATLAS ASIA
To advise with the development and content of a Regional Seafarming Resources Atlas and a National Seafarming Resources Atlas for each of eight countries: China, India, Indonesia, Korea (DPR), Korea (Rep.), Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
Consultant team to visit each country participating in the Seafarming Resources Atlas project (RAS/86/024) with the following terms of reference:
to investigate the state of mapping and availability of information needed for preparation of a regional atlas (small-scale) and national atlases (larger scale);
to design a format for the regional atlas;
to determine costs and time for production of the regional atlas;
to identify personnel from mariculture and other agencies of government who would cooperate to produce the regional and national atlases;
to assess availability of in-country and external donor funding for the regional and national atlases;
to formulate a regional project for the preparation and production of national resources atlases;
work re national atlases to be carried out within respective countries listed above;
to prepare a brief mission report.
