   CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC

Cereal production is expected to fall for the second consecutive year, due to mass population displacements and seeds shortages resulting from the civil war. Cereal import requirement in 2003 is forecast at 38 000 tonnes, mostly wheat.
