  SOMALIA

The total cereal import requirement in 2003/04 (August/July) is estimated at 290 000 tonnes. Commercial imports are estimated at 220 000 tonnes, leaving a food aid requirement of 70 000 tonnes. As of end November food aid pledges amounted to 18 000 tonnes, of which 7 000 tonnes have been delivered.
