SOMALIA

The total cereal import requirement in 2004/05 marketing year (August/July) is estimated at 304�000 tonnes. Commercial imports are estimated at 242�000 tonnes, leaving a food aid requirement of 62�000 tonnes. As of mid-March food aid pledges amounted to 41�000 tonnes, of which 34�000 tonnes have been delivered.
