TANZANIA, UNITED REPUBLIC OF

Domestic cereal availability in 2004/05 marketing year (June/May) is estimated at 4.57 million tonnes against total utilization of 5.20 million tonnes. The cereal import requirement is thus estimated at 632�000 tonnes. With commercial imports estimated at 552�000 tonnes, the food aid requirement is 80�000 tonnes.
