1. Total catch estimated in Form EL-2 or EL-3 is allocated into the province of origin of fishing boat by using either the number of fishing boats by provinces which were based in this District (N) or the number of trips by provinces which landed their catch to this District (P).

ESTIMATION FOR DISPOSITION OF CATCH AND PRODUCTION OF FISHERIES COMMODITIES

Marine fishery/Open water fishery

Note

1. This form is used to estimate the quantity of catch disposed to each disposition channel and the quantity of fisheries commodity produced in this district. Estimation of these two figures refers to the case which occured within this district only.

2. Such estimations are done for each species separately.

3. At first, quarterly catch of a certain species which is already given either in Reporting Form LL-3 or LP-3 is transfered to “total” for (2.1).

4. Then, based on experiences gained from day to day work catch of that species which were disposed to each channel is estimated in terms of %. Such % is recorded into (2.2).

5. Such % is applied to quarterly catch of that species to estimate the quantity of catch disposed to each channel.

6. Then, for each disposition channel, most suitable conversion factor to estimate commodity weight based on fresh weight is sought and is recorded into (3). For example, when 20 kg. of dried fish is produced by 100 kg of fresh fish, conversion factor will be 0.2.

7. Such conversion factor is applied to the quantity of catch disposed to respective channel to estimate the quantity of fisheries commodity produced.

8. When the quantity of fisheries commodity produced is available at fish processing factory, such figure can be recorded into (4) at first. In such a case, the quantity of catch disposed to that channel is estimated by dividing the quantity of fisheries commodity produced by the conversion factor.
