4. DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN IMPRESSIONS OBTAINED DURING LAST SURVEY AND RESULTS AS OBTAINED FROM ANALYSIS OF QUESTIONNAIRES

The information gathered by the questionnaire and the conclusions drawn from the analysis seem to match well with what the survey teams actually experienced during the survey. One exception is that in the Current Situation and Outlook Survey, 15 out of 27 interviewees were registered to be familiar with the standard procedures for the culture system they practised. This probably does not reflect the actual situation. The majority of the ponds visited were in some way or another wrongly constructed and/or were mismanaged. The reason appeared to be that the farmer lacked knowledge and skills.
