VII World Conference on Animal Production
Dairy development in the Caribbean region
The VII World Conference on Animal Production is to be held from 28 June to 2 July 1993 at the Edmonton Convention Centre, Alberta, Canada.
The conference, which takes place every five years, is organized under the auspices of the World Association for Animal Production, made up of 50 international and national bodies representing animal production on a global basis.
Topics discussed will include problems of sustainability, systems to expand the world's gene pool, biotechnology in developing countries, genetic resources and research in developing countries.
Participating in the conference will be scientists, researchers, teachers, administrators, programme planners and research policy-makers from several countries.
English will be the official language and those planning to attend and present a paper are invited to submit tentative titles as soon as possible.

A symposium covering economic and marketing aspects of dairy development in the Caribbean will take place from 30 November to 4 December 1992 in Jamaica. The symposium will be organized by the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI), the Centre Technique de Coopération Agricole et Rurale (CTA) and the International Dairy Federation (IDF) in association with FAO and participants will include dairy producers, policy-makers and advisers in the Caribbean region.
