HONDURAS LEGISLATION
-Licence fee calculated according to gross tonnage of fishing vessel, at rate of L.20.00 per ton or per partial ton.

AGREEMENTS
Agreement between Honduras, Panama and the United States of 14 March 1983, valid until withdrawal
-Tuna fishing fees:
-for 5 Contracting Parties = US$60 per n.r.t.
-for additional Contracting Parties (coastal states) fees increased up to maximum of US$100 per n.r.t.
Note: increases to be determined by Council set up under Agreement.
-Minimum increase of US$100 per n.r.t. for each additional Contracting Party (coastal state) after sixth.
-Fees to be reduced on withdrawal by any
Contracting Party (coastal state) as determined by
Council, down to a minimum of US$60 per n.r.t.
-Fees to be paid in full before licence issued.
-Licence valid until end of year in which issued.
-Proceeds of fee (less up to 10% for administrative costs) to be distributed to Coastal
States in proportion to amount of tuna taken in respective 200 mile areas

LEGISLATION
Fishing in territorial sea restricted to vessels flying Honduran flag and to Honduran residents or to Honduran companies at least 51% owned by Honduran nationals.

LEGISLATION
Local fishing boat
defined as fishing vessel under Honduran flag owned by Honduran nationals or residents or by a company incorporated under local laws with at least 51% of capital owned by Honduran nationals. Master of boat must be a native of Honduras.
