BACKGROUND
The two nurseries maintained by the Forestry Division are located at Pond Casse and D'Leau Gommier. They produce approximately 12,000 seedlings per year. Species include Mahogany, Cupressus, Blue Mahoe and a variety of local hardwoods. A lack of space prevents the expansion of these nurseries to produce approximately 100,000 seedlings per year. It is therefore recommended that a new nursery at D'Leau Gommier be constructed to produce this number of seedlings.
IMMEDIATE OBJECTIVES
To construct a new nursery at D'Leau Gommier in order to provide sufficient plants for an expanded forestry/agroforestry programme.

(a) Construct nursery (30 x 20m) with storage area etc.
(b) Purchase seeds, polythene bags etc.
(c) Purchase minor equipment and supplies
(d) Purchase 1,000 gallon storage tank
