Under the general supervision of the Project Director and the System Designer and the overall guidance of the SIPAL User Working Group (UWG) be responsible for all the data administration functions to build up the proposed information system SIPAL.
In particular, be responsible for:
Nominating, coordinating and leading the SIPAL UWG.
In close collaboration with the System Designer and the Analyst-Programmer prepare the system design of SIPAL environment and the User Manual.
In close collaboration with the Analyst-Programmer, and following the advice of the UWG, prepare the design of the various elements composing the regional module.
Organize, plan, coordinate and support all the activities related to the development of SIPAL.
Monitor the development and implementation of SIPAL.
Be responsible for requesting and receiving the necessary approval for using data/information.
Organize and distribute the appropriate documentation.
Qualifications:
University degree in statistics, or aquaculture/biology, or economics.
Proved professional experience in data administration.
Good knowledge of the aquaculture in the region.
Working knowledge (level C) of Spanish and good knowledge of English.
Knowledge of data processing and data analysis methodologies.
Knowledge of microcomputer operation and RDBMS (Relational Data Base Management Systems).
