The activities during the five week mission to Lesotho (14 July – 20 August 1989) were:
review of existing information, on the structure of Basotho rural communities, including the socio-economic situation of women;
design, initiation and implementation of a survey to investigate fish and duck eating habits and attitudes and community uses of reservoirs/dams in two selected areas;
synthesis of other existing information on the consumption of fresh, frozen and processed fish in Lesotho;
analysis of survey results and presentation of a report on findings and recommendations.
