The Committee noted that the Codex Committee on General Principles had been reviewing the texts of the Codex Alimentarius Commission Procedural Manual, including transferring certain sections to the relevant Codex Alimentarius volumes. The Committee had not considered this issue until now as it was elaborating the General Guidelines on Sampling and considering a "criteria"-based approach for evaluating acceptable methods of analysis.
50. The Committee deferred discussions to a future session pending the developments on the Proposed Draft Guidelines on Sampling and the working procedure and selection of criteria in the "criteria"-based approach.
