Cover Photograph: After the Twelfth Congress of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations in 1956, members visited various parse of Britain to see the progress made in establishing Britain new forests. This photograph, of a young man setting out to plant spruce trees at Fetteresso Forest, in Scotland, seems to typify the spirit of quiet determination with which the planting program id being carried out.
