Complements Note 4, but is aimed specifically at the crews of smaller fishing vessels less than 25 metres and should be read in conjunction with Note 53. Gives basic advice on sorting, gutting, washing, draining, icing, boxing and stowage. Emphasises the importance of looking after fish caught inshore just as well as catches from more distant waters. See also Notes 15, 21, 36, 50.
