EXPLANATORY NOTES
1. The tables in this annex give selected data on production of food crops.
2. The data are drawn from FAO’s web site.
3. The definition of “food crop” is that the crop is grown primarily for food, even though some farmers may sell part or all of their crop for cash.
4. Import prices are calculated from FAOSTAT data on quantities and values of imports. They are calculated separately for those countries which are and are not, land-locked.
5. Area, production and domestic supply data are graphed for each crop.
