Centro de Investigaciones Apícolas

The Cuban Center for Apicultural Research (CIAPI) has joined the International System for Agricultural Science and Technology (AGRIS) of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as a Data Provider.

Founded in 1982, CIAPI is the scientific and technical unit for Cuban apiculture. With over 35 years of experience, it boasts a multidisciplinary team of biologists, veterinarians, biochemists, IT specialists, and agronomists who work to meet the demands of apicultural knowledge and address the challenges of the market, climate change, and product quality.

Currently, it has around 33 records covering topics of microbiology, pollen, propolis, and molecular markers, among others.

CIAPI's participation in the AGRIS Network represents a significant step forward in increasing the visibility and accessibility of apicultural research originating from Cuba.
