Institut National de Recherche Halieutique (INRH)

The Institut National de Recherche Halieutique is a public scientific institution with legal personality and financial autonomy. It is supervised by the Department of Maritime Fishing.

Dedicated to producing scientific knowledge on fisheries, oceanography and the environment, scientists, engineers, technicians, sailors and administrators have been working for over 70 years at sea, in ports and in our laboratories to contribute to the sustainable management of fisheries resources and the conservation of the oceans.

Managed by the Director and administered by a Board of Directors, the INRH has several governing bodies. INRH's new strategic plan is based on an approach of adaptation and innovation that will enable it to integrate into its environment while anticipating the changes that the fishing sector in particular is undergoing.
