The Fisheries Development Institute (Instituto de Fomento Pesquero – IFOP) is a Chilean government organization dedicated to the study, management, and sustainable development of the country’s marine and fisheries resources. IFOP conducts scientific research on fisheries biology, aquaculture, marine ecosystems, and resource management. It provides technical support, data, and advice to policymakers, industry stakeholders, and researchers to promote sustainable and responsible use of Chile’s aquatic resources.
