UNIFÉ Joins AGRIS: Empowering Women’s Research in Nutrition and Food Science

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) welcomes the Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón (UNIFÉ) from Peru as a new member of the International System for Agricultural Science and Technology (AGRIS).

UNIFÉ, founded in 1962 in Lima, Peru, is a private institution exclusively for women. Established by the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it began with a strong focus on quality education for women and expanded in 1971 with the creation of its Graduate School. Over the years, UNIFÉ has continued to grow, offering diverse programs to meet the needs of women in Peru.
