FISH4ACP and Sustainable Value Chains in Fisheries and Aquaculture

24/06/2024

Join us in Brussels to learn more about the progress achieved by the FISH4ACP initiative. Specifically, we will highlight how the initiative is enriching livelihoods, promoting gender empowerment, and bolstering food security within aquatic food systems.

Interventions and a captivating photo exhibit will immerse attendees in the firsthand experiences of participants from the field visit to Senegal, organized by the Council of the EU under the Belgian Presidency in May 2024.

The event will also be an occasion to announce the upcoming FISH4ACP Aquatic Value Chain Development Seminar in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, scheduled for September 2024.

Refreshments will be served after the event.

Date: Monday, 24 June
Time: 15:00-17:30 (CEST)
Venue: L42 (Rue de la Loi 42, 1000 Brussels)

About the FISH4ACP initiative

Over the past two decades, the fisheries and aquaculture sectors in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific (ACP) regions have undergone significant evolution. The FISH4ACP initiative contributes to shaping vital economic lifelines for twelve member countries of the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS). It is dedicated to enhancing productivity and competitiveness within twelve fisheries and aquaculture value chains, fostering sustainable development and prosperity within these nations.
